In 2019, the Town of Austerlitz streamlined the approval process for installing solar technologies, for residents and businesses, by creating a “Unified Solar Permit”. This standardizes the permit application one must obtain when installing solar, which makes the process simpler. The Unified Solar Permit Application is available on the Town’s website in the Document Center under “Building & Code Enforcement Forms“. It is also available at Town Hall.
